Taking Control of Your Playing Experience

As one of the leading publishers of interactive software, we produce games designed for very different audiences, including children, teens, and adults 17 and older. By understanding rating systems and parental controls, you can make informed choices about your playing experience.

Games Ratings Systems

There are many different agencies that provide games ratings systems around the world. The following are some of the major ratings boards to be aware of:

ESRB

ESRB

ESRB is a non-profit, self-regulatory body for the video game industry. Established in 1994, their primary responsibility is to help consumers, especially parents, make informed choices about the games their families play.

PEGI

PEGI

PEGI provides age classifications for video games in 38 European countries. The age rating confirms that the game is appropriate for players of certain age. PEGI considers the age suitability of a game, not the level of difficulty.

IARC

IARC

Introduced in 2013, the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) is an initiative aimed at streamlining acquisition of content ratings for video games, from authorities of different countries.

Parental Controls

Parents can get involved in their child’s gaming experience by understanding the tools and options provided on their gaming system. Many major gaming platforms offer parental controls to set the appropriate guidelines such as age restrictions, time limits, and content sharing. Learn more about your platform’s parental controls.
